Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass Alan ihm das Leben gerettet hat, kann Alan weiterhin im Haus wohnen bleiben.
Jake hingegen zieht aus um zur Armee zu gehen und wird später sogar in eine US-Militärbasis in Japan versetzt. Das frei gewordene Zimmer wird dann von Charlies bis dahin unbekannter lesbischer Tochter Jenny bezogen, die eigentlich nur auf der Suche nach ihrem leiblichen Vater war, am Ende aber von Walden und Alan aufgenommen wird.
Im Verlaufe der Geschichte stellt sich dann heraus, dass Charlie gar nicht gestorben ist, sondern von seiner Stalkerin gefangen gehalten wurde und droht nun Alan und Walden damit sie fertig machen zu wollen.
In der letzten Szene der Serie wird Charlie dann vor der Tür seines ehemaligen Hauses stehend von einem herunter fallenden Flügel erschlagen. Angus T.
